Sonny Hunt is a multi instrumentalist but above all guitarist from America. He crosses the ocean several times a year and travels to the Netherlands to perform with The Dirty White Boys. The DWB is Han Neijenhuis on drums and Dick Stam on Bass.

In 2008 Sonny asked Rory de Kievit to join the band. With Rory the sound of the band became a nice mix of different styles. The style of Sonny is Blues-Rock and the style of Rory is more Jazz-Rock or Fusion oriented.

In 2010 the band expanded again. Another guitar player, Leif de Leeuw joined the band. Leif is a real Blues player, His influences are Joe Bonamassa and Eric Johnson. There was a positive click between the musicians and they enjoyed playing together. A nice concept was born.

The band is playing covers in their own style of artists like: Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck and many more with always the guitar in the spotlight. Because of the different individual styles of the guitarists, there is always a positive tension and they give each other enough space so the songs never get messy or bored. A highlight in 2010 was a performance at “De Noot” in Harderwijk. This performance was recorded and Rory has spent many hours in the studio to edit, mix and master the recordings. The end result is a great live registration of Sonny Hunt and The Dirty White Boys.
